Monday the 21st of September six band at the Oxford city college performed three song of there choosing and today I have been tasked with reviewing or "Critique" their performances consisting of no favouritism I'm sorry. please note I wasn't there in person during the performance due to illness so I rely on footage of the bands performing the songs to form this "critique".

Pod 1.

Consistency & Style.

So reviewing the performance of pod 1 the songs played seemed constant enough with the original

with small twists made by the band to keep a consistent style throughout the performance to not disservice the audiences expectations, at first glance it appeared that the band didn't exactly have a particular style but after taking another look it appeared as if the band went for a simple style which consisted of black and white clothing.

Band Movement.

Overall the movement was enough to promote the bands enjoyment of the song they were playing and enough to show the band was engaged in what they were doing with the guitarist and drummer bobbing along with the music and the singer effectively displaying enthuses to what she was singing.

Pod 1's overall performance.

The drummer.

No mistakes were obvious overall, the style the drummer played was constant with the music and the drummer used fills and other techniques effectively without overusing them.

The bass guitarist.

From what I'd seen the bass guitarist made no obvious mistakes, he was also consistent with the music not straying away from it's core and didn't overuse techniques.

The lead guitarist.

The lead guitarists also made no obvious mistakes, stayed constant with the music and I praise his performance.

The lead singer

The lead singer made no critical mistakes, the style was also constant with the genre and basically stole the show.

Pod 2.

The band played four songs but unfortunately I only have two to refer to so I don't think I can effectively critique their performance but i will say maybe with a bit more practice in their particular positions they would have better footing in the performance and probably would have stole the show.

Pod 3.

Consistency & Style.

Pod three was my band unfortunately I was not able to attend the performance due to illness and thought this was may band I will not be bias and treat this as if I was critiquing any another band.

So reviewing pod three from the footage available I have nothing exactly bad to say about the performance all songs were played constantly and some elements were changed to fit the band members needs, similar to pod 1 this band had the same style of black and white clothing.

Band Movement.

Pod 3's movement wasn't too bad it did seem that whenever a member wasn't doing anything they would stand still and look around it's nothing too big but when somebody notices it it and become distracting and rather obvious but I would like to point out the bands chemistry and interaction whenever the band is moving they would tend to make eye contact and sort of encourage the others to also move around.

Pod 3's overall performance.

The drummer.

Breaking the drumming down the drums the drummer played constant with the band adding there own flair to the music not overusing techniques and playing consistently with the band.

The bass guitarist.

Knowing that the bass guitarist had only just leaned wrapped there head around how to play billie jean I praise them for managing to play the bass for the songs, they played consistent to the original song.

The lead guitarist.

The lead guitarist played well reminding you that this isn't his go to genre he did play well and remains consistent throughout the song.

The lead singers.

Though there was two singers I consider them one entity due to their charisma and cooperation onstage, they stayed consistent with the original songs while also working together to make a strong performance especially during billie jean the singers did their job exceptionally.
