Assemble a song challenge.

So yesterday we were given our bands and then were given a choice of 3 songs to cover in a small amount of time though I was not there to attend keeping in touch with my band I can effectively answer some of the questions and explain the reason behind why our band did the things they did.

Why did you select the particular song choice?

The band said they chose the song band of venus because it was seen as a song they could be most creative with and and this choice of song allowed the band to brainstorm some interesting ways of playing differently to fit the particular band members needs.

Who took the initiative in arranging the chord sequence, rhythmical pattern, riffs, top line melody, temp and tone/texture of the arrangement?

Jayden and Malachy took the initiative in figuring out what type of vibe the song would be and how we should approach it, taking into consideration all the band members jayden took initiative and helped work out how exactly all the band members would work together while maintaining a specific vibe.

Was there a conscious decision on what type of genre to frame the song in?

The band thoght of going xxx tentacion vibe due to studying the lyrics and thinking of ways to bend the song in our own meld and this allowed us to think of ways to use the acoustic guitar and add rap to the song.

How did you get on with your band members?

Though I couldn't attend the rehearsal I do already know a majority of the band members other than Malachy but from the short conversations I have had with him it seems like we'll get along well and I feel the new kid Malachy.

How productive were your band?

according to the my band members Jayden and Malachy productive as possible, Toby was attempted doing everything possible to make sure we fitted the vibe by studying to all suggestions via the singers who also worked on how to implemented the lyrics along with the rap.

What did you learn?

Though I wasn't able to attend after getting tasked by nick to review the performances and the original songs background I have learned how awesome the bands are.

Has this activity assisted or provided new insights into your songwriting?

From studying this song and listening to other stemming way before this work I have been trying to become a better drummer and via studying these songs.

What did you think of the other bands interpretations?

After listening to the other interpretations I'm happy to say that all the other bands have made so fun variations of the song expressing the bands style and creativity and it helps me understand the characters behind the music.
