I have been asked to compare these pieces of music which have been recently used in adverts to the original composition giving my opinion of them what they do right or wrong and why? I'll link both versions of the songs i'm reviewing to give prospective and more context to my comparison.

We’ve Only Just Begun.
The barclays version of the song
What are the differences in the structure of the musical arrangement?
Immediately the difference between the original song and the Lloyds Bank interpretation is obviously Lyrically and instrumentally different the Lloyds Bank variation of the song strays away from home and what I mean by that is that the Lloyds version changes tone by making the vocals seem less enthusiastic and sad while instrumentally the Lloyds version only consists of the piano taking away the drums bass backup vocals and other instruments and finally slowing down the tempo of the song to settle the more calm/sad vibe.
Which do you prefer and why?
I naturally I've always loved 60's & 70's music while also liking everything that came after it and always being open to change and seeing new things, at first I believed that this song was going to have a better or more modified version and though the vocals and instrumentation were great the Lloyds bank version of the song didn't really work with me, I feel as if the song was played too safe and cowered away from it's true partencial.

The renault version
What are the differences in the structure of the musical arrangement?
Both versions of this song are different in comparison Involving tone and instrumentation since the original song consisted of acoustic guitar, drums and violin and the advertisement variation replaced all these things with a piano, Once again the advertisement changed the tempo of the song to fit it's own tone and I do agree with this cause it makes sense with it's narrative and tone.
Which do you prefer and why? Being a man of culture I naturally knew the original version of the song like bread on butter and immediately took offence when I realised anyone would attempt to change the magnificent masterpiece simply know as wonderwall or more basically put the unofficial national anthem. But in all fairness to the Renault version of the song it did its job is setting tone for the advertisement, having superb vocals and instrumentation though I think being more true to the original song wouldn't have killed them wonderwall seams to be a song which it's lyrics match with the new tone when we’ve only just begun advertisement comparison didn't exactly match in tone so I guess I prefer the original since I've know it longer cause i reckon they are both good in their own right.

The lily allen version for John lewis.
What are the differences in the structure of the musical arrangement?
Surprisingly this advertisement version of the song didn't change much like tempo and rhythm it does remove some of the original line up of instruments consisting of the drums and tambourine the removal of these instruments are allowing the song to consist of its own tone and naturally make a more watchable advert. Which do you prefer and why? Once again I think I prefer the original cause of it upbeat tone and the drumming is immaculate so obviously I have to love it though lily allen's version does have some interesting elements that work well with the advert it goes with I do believe the original song triumphs over the John lewis version.
