To start of the reason why I picked this song as a display of our best work I mainly cause I have a soft spot for this original song, other than that this performance of Unnatural displays the bands skills including Creativity, Improvisation and Stage presence taking into account the pure effort we put into developing this song I naturally have a soft spot for it and i'm proud of what we achieved performing it on stage.
Creativity & stage presence.
As Mentioned before this song is our bands original song so playing this onstage was a thrill but also it is a good display of our skills in creating music through it isn't my favorite original it is definitely the more stage worthy song to display our song making creativity thanks to our bands presence on stage mainly Aseels vocal presence displayed creativity but since the song was made in a month I think that's a worthy excuse to use this as a display of our creativity.
Improvisation/Cooperation
Since this song is the bands very own original it was harder to keep together In our heads without recording it in rehearsals and since we couldn't go onto youtube to remind us how the song sounded we needed to remember how the song went so a lot of improvisation and cooperation needed when it came to organising ourselves when creating and rehearsing the song.
When performing the song we were confident it' go well though the song wasn't exactly complete If you watch the performance you'd see Toby led into a guitar solo that initially was supposed to be in the song though in later rehearsals of the song we'd come to not do it to save time and though this does display us being unorganised it does promote the bands ability to work together and Improvise during a performance though since toby was in his element the only way to indicate we wanted to end the song was unfortunately to tell him to stop directly.
Excuses
Excuses is my other example of displaying our skills as a band, being another original this song naturally shows our creativity like the last example though this song differs since we didn't need to improvise some parts of the song since everything was properly planned and organised.
Planning & organization
Thanks to the little time we had writing this song it helped us knuckle down and organise our time better and forced us to focus hard on how the song will go, focusing mainly on developing the song we had no time to just improvise it we needed to have a direct song cause otherwise we knew the song would fall apart like others had done in the past, as shown in the performance the drums and bass are basically united in the song like the vocals cling on to each other making the song more of a cooperative task for the band relying on each other to keep the song a float.
Conclusion
Getting onstage to perform these songs was a great way to conclude the first half of the year working with the band had its ups and downs but i'm happy that we managed to pull together and display our skill as shown in this short blog.
