Recording at college.
Naturally It's hard to talk about these songs without any prior experience as a collaborative band since we haven't been in the same room to perform together yet though recording this song won't really be any different from any other song, taking into consideration that I don't play any other instrument my job doesn't really change so when playing the other songs won't really change for me when it comes to recording our band line ups will be.

Recording AMTYR
My task in the studio.
I'll have to mic up the drum kit this task comes with not strain on me since i've been micing up drum kits for a while now. This is a simple task if I know the particular mics and where to put them which I do so the task will be simple for me at the very least. My job doesn't end with just simply hitting things though that's the basic premise of being a drummer I'll also have to stay true to the original so keeping the drums clean and the fills to a minimum for AMTYR will have to be how I execute making the song a good recording in the studio.
Micing up the drum kit.
I need to Attach the Condenser Microphone (AT2020) mics to the mic stands on the right and left of the drum kit to pick up all the sound in the live room the sound from the cymbals, also placing a dynamic mic inside the bass drum, I also placed a SM57 over the snare drum and one below the snare to collect the rattle and another Hi-hat to pick up the sounds they make I used a used a Sennheiser MD421-I to pick up the toms. Though With a message to you rudy doesn't include toms or cymbals since we'll probably have little time at college we'd probably be recording all the songs at the same time so better be safe than sorry.
The Recording.
Having the performance played through a headset to me in a separate room in the studio I'll need to maintain my composure and stay true to the original while also providing a clear metronome to the rest of the band in the other room putting my trust in them and them putting their trust in me to get the song done.
