It should be a list of considerations when undertaking a sound check.
A soundcheck a essential preparation that happens before a concert, when a performer and the sound crew run through a small version of the upcoming show with soundboard to make sure that the venue's front of house and stage monitor sound systems are producing clear sound that is at the right volume and has the correct mix and tonal balance to avoid any music sounding bad when it comes to the live performance.
You could simply make a list or compile a do's and don'ts or write a flowing piece paragraphed with the various considerations.
Don't umute the channels at a max volume cause this could cause deathening rates of audio and is a health hazard to you and the band, though the last performance levels could have been perfect from the last performance the difference between the instruments from one performance to another is a big enough change to make bad levels of volume so always turn them down before unmuting the chanels.
Never ask the musicians to play their instruments twice unless needed cause it makes you look unprofessional and it'll seem as if you aren't paying attention. though if the drummer is playing over everyone don't be afraid to shout at them and then kindly ask the bassist to continue with the sound check.
Never turn up the channels fully mid performance this is self explanatory, turning up and down the channels slightly is fine but mindlessly turning up and down the channels can ruin the integrity of the performance.
Always ask for the performers for their pefrance on volume if not they could be uncomfortable and this can compromise the performance.
Always keep in mind that you are in control of the music when behind the mixing desk and have a responsibility to adjust all audio to fit a natural performance, so keep in mind you are the king of the castle and are responsible to keep the quality of the music in great condition.
