Stage Presence - credit Jack
What will your band’s stage presence be like?
We are a decently experienced group of performers so naturally our stage presence will be good though It doesn't hurt to plan ahead so for particular songs we will switch up our stage presence to match the theme of each song but mainly our presence will aim to be energetic and prominent and appropriate to the corresponding songs.
Is it appropriate/suitable for the style of music?
Each of our songs remain in a consistent in Theme, Energy and Tone in terms of what message is behind each of the individual songs a consistent tone of compassion comes from each of our songs though not all of them will have the same message behind them the way the message is conveyed will be done in a similar tone.
Have you considered the positioning when on stage?
The band doesn't really move around other than Lilly she moves from vocals to piano so we organised our set to try and keep us in one place at all times so for the songs when we do need to move we are already positioned close to the next place we need to be.
Will you have any intro tracks?
We have created bonus tracks though they are in development so the only thing close to a intro track is owe it all to you since its the first song on the our set
Will you stage show require any specific things?
The only thing specific we need a way to play the prerecorded drill track the band has made.
What kind of stage presence do artists similar to you/influences adopt? Why? Is it effective?
We don't necessarily have any influences but if anything our songs present a very similar vibe to Ed sheeran songs and since toby has some inspiration from Ed sheeran he'll most likely present the energy required to make the performance feel like that.
Individual Role In Band.
What individual roles have you taken on in the band? (e.g., social media, artwork, production of the music, song writing etc).
I post promotional matar on Instagram promoting the band, our rehearsals, studio work and any of our performances to promo and engage the audience with all of our feats
Why have you gravitated towards this role? E.g., are you more proficient in the production work or the most experienced social media user etc.
I tend to overshare things on my story so it was instin to become the personal reporter of Eyewing.

Our band genre is RnB and Pop. eye wing fits into this genre by us using strong bassline and looped drumbeats, we combined this with pop by adding the basic structure of -verse -pre-chorus -chorus -verse -pre-chorus -chorus -bridge -chorus Pop music normally has a time signature, 4/4. and 120 beats per minute. because it's the most convenient type of music to dance to and to make it the most memorable. Most Pop songs also use the A minor, F, C, G sequence. this sequence is used in many top chart songs. It was used in the famous song Zombie by The Cranberries which hit the charts in 1994. and 2017 hit Despacito by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yanki and Justin Bieber. Most of the hit chart pop songs were in the minor key which is odd due to the theory of sad songs in minor and happy songs in major. The most used subject that is used in pop songs is romance, self-growth and breakups. Our band uses a lot of these characteristics of this genre. Our band name is Eyewing. we decided on this name in the summer before college started. we chose this because it became an inside joke between us as we came up with it through a random name generator. the meaning behind Eyewing is broken into two words eye and wing the phrase "eye" is to be considered to mean the window to the soul. Giving the idea that you can look into someone eye and understand their thoughts and emotions. The meaning behind "wing" is to create movement which is what we felt fit with the idea of our music. For our logo, we wanted something that could be easily identified. We also wanted to have the logo the same colour as our stage wear. We wanted to have an eye with wings on it to go with our band name. The main colours were Blue, black, and white. All these colours are used in the logo. With merchandise, we wanted to just have the logo of the eye and wings and for our socials, we want to have the added name underneath. We would like to make the graphics higher definition in the future. This logo can last a while because it is very basic and is our band name which makes the logo timeless. This logo can easily be placed in corners of photos and videos while still being able to blend in without is seeming out of place. Our influence for this logo was bands like BTS. We took the idea of having a logo on top with meaning and then the name of the band underneath. We thought this was a good idea because we can separate the logos and still be able to tell it is us. With our band image we wanted to keep it casual but to have a colour scheme of blue, white, and black to match our logo. We felt this was a good idea because it shows our individual styles but also looks like a band. We wanted to have a similar idea like ACDC where they wear uniforms, but they all have their own style. this is effective because it is rememberable. The artists we were inspired by was Rex orange county and Ed Sheeran which I think we use some ideas from them. Such as structure in songs and the Vibe/sound they give off. We are a decently experienced group of performers so naturally; our stage presence will be good though It doesn't hurt to plan so for particular songs we will switch up our stage presence to match the theme of each song but mainly our presence will aim to be energetic and prominent and appropriate to the corresponding songs. Our songs range in terms of genre and style. We have drum and bass, indie pop and pop ballads which all range in terms of rhythm, dynamics and tempo. Each song has a story behind it and each of the individual songs have a consistent tone. The compassion comes from each of our songs though not all of them will have the same message behind them the way the message is conveyed will be done in a similar tone. The band doesn't really change over instruments onstage other than when I move from vocals to piano, so we organised our set to always try and keep us in one place so for the songs when we do need to move, we are already positioned close to the next place we need to be. We have created bonus tracks though they are in the development stage so the only thing close to an intro track is owe it all to you since it's the first song in our set. When writing our songs Toby usually came up with the lyrics which he usually wrote when freestyling over a chord progression and with the help of Rhyme zone. I wrote my own lyrics by also free styling over various chord progressions I like. This worked extremely well as we were able to use a lot of creativity and fresh ideas. For the future I think it would be great if we could write a song as a band and include everyones ideas.
For our EP we are thinking of using a mixture of live and programmed instruments when producing our songs as that's the kind of style of music we have at the moment. Using a range of live and programmed instruments will not only show our skills as instrumentalists but also as producers.
