Induction Showcase Reviews Introduction.
After the induction performance me and others were tasked with providing a review on each and every performance to not only support/criticise the Performers but to also show our knowledge of music as a critique.
Throughout this blog I'll use all the information and criticism given to me to help determine how I'll approach future performances and use this as a way to know how to improve myself as a musician.

The reviews & my response.
Link to the reviews:
The reviews on my bands performance are mainly positive I'm not implying that there is anything wrong with someone being critical is a bad thing because I don't take this information personally I just take it as criticism worthy of invoking positive change to my development as a performer and musician and am happy to get some unbiased reception so I'm going to take parts of some of the reviews and respond to them specifically.
Review One.
"These guys were really good. I liked the way they had the melodic guitar and the rapping, I think they go really well together. The drummer was also insane and that is generally because Jack is a legendary drummer. I think for improvements, they can try and level the vocals with the guitar"
Response.
Personally I don't know who made these responses but whoever made this one has made one hell of a impression personally I have so much respect for this reviewer cause they obviously see's the effort I and my band put into the performance and whoever this person is clearly see's the best in everything since not even I looked at our performance that way.
Review Two.
"This bands performance was really impressive. The bands song choice fit them really well. The change overs were really quick and the instrumentation and vocals were all really good. Lily's vocals were great and fit in the song well. Toby's vocals all stood out nicely and harmonised with Lily. His guitar playing was good as well and stood out as the only guitar in the band. Liv's bass sounded really solid and tight and followed Toby's guitar. Jack's drumming was well in time and created a great low end together with Liv's bass"
Response.
This review seems a bit more balanced and probably is the most neutral response to the performance so far I personally think this review was good and provides a positive message to me and the band since this points out the positives of the bands overall performance though I would like to hear more of the negatives it's still a good thing to know the good out ways the bad in the audiences view.
Review Three.
"The first song began with softer dynamics and then built up by the chorus as the instrumentation gradually grew, and the timing was good throughout. The singers made use of harmonies and one of the singers was also playing a guitar whilst performing, showing versatility. The drummer included fills which helped to keep the song moving - and played enthusiastically, although this over-powered the vocals at some points. The female vocalist could have projected better in order to be heard, but the other singer projected well and could be heard clearly. The second song did not have much variety when it came to dynamics, but the tempo was upbeat, creating a fun atmosphere, and timing was good"
Response.
Another positive review that talks about how our band effected the audience adding another element of the review I'd personally forget about this provides a point of view that is interesting to consider since looking at the performance as the performer you don't really put yourself in others shoes so understanding the performance from a different point of view adds more to the overall critique and helps convey their point.
Review Four.
Everyone did really well. Toby's guitar playing was pretty good. I liked the drum fills and the different rhythms Jack did in the first song. Liv's bass playing was also good. I liked Lily's harmonies. I feel like everyone could move around on stage more.
Response.
This review goes over the diverse nature of our playstyle and overall performance it points out our strength as a band but also points out the fact we should really focus more on movement to engage the audience more.
What I have learned from this.
It would be a lie if I said reading these review made me take any more consideration into how the audience see's my performance cause as you can ask anyone who has worked with me I always plan the performances on how the audience might see the band as a whole I'm a perfectionist to that sense.
